Ponnuru MLA Dhulipala Narendra Kumar (Telugu Desam) is unanimously elected as the Sangam dairy chairman. His father Dhulipalla Veeraiah Chowdary elected as dairy chairman for 2-terms while this is the second term for Narendra kumar. Directir Mareedu Venkateswara Rao proposed Narendra name for Chairman post which was supported by Pothireddy Srinivasa Reddy. Other 12 directors also supported Narendra candidature.
Senior Telugu Desam party leaders, Yadlapati Venkatrao, Kodela Sivaprasada Rao and Prathipati Pullarao congratulated Narendra on the occasion. Thousands of TDP activists attended the ceremony. TDP leaders felt happy as the election process went off peacefully.

All the three new directors of Sangam diary were elected unanimously. There are 15 director posts in the dairy. Sangam dairy consists of 400 milk cooperative societies in Guntur district. Yadlapati Venkatrao was the founding chairman.
Alapati Rajendra Prasad and Kilari Rajan Babu also fought hard for the coveted post as Telugu Desam party has tight grip over the dairy politics. But, TDP president Chandrababu Naidu picked Narendra for this prestigious post in Guntur district politics. Kilari Rajan Babu is the current dairy chairman while Alapati Rajendra Prasad is a senior party leader who lost to Nadendla Manohar in the 2009 assembly polls in Tenali.
