EC accepted PRP-Congress merger

Election Commission of India officially accepted the merger of Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) with Congress Party. EC sent a letter to Buddha Bhavan (state EC office) in Hyderabad in this regard. PRP leader C. Ramachandraiah expressed happiness at the letter written by EC.

No politicial leader in Andhra Pradesh has fallen from grace in such a short span of time like Chiranjeevi. His party got around 70 lakh votes in 2009 Assembly polls. But, this immature leader does not have leadership skills to carry a party on his shoulders.

PRP merged with Congress

From now onwards, 18 PRP MLAs are now treated as Congress MLAs. So, Congress party strength in the Assembly now stands at 173. 3 Independent MLAs are also supporting Congress party. 7 MIM MLAs are also supporting Congress.

Congress Party decided to embrace Kapus after losing Reddys to YSR Congress party. But, Chiranjeevi may not help them much due to his uninspiring body language and lack of leadership skills.

So, Jagan needs more than 35 MLAs to dethrone Kiran Kumar Reddy Government but he has just 20-25 MLAs support.
