Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to conduct elections to Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS), District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCB) and APCOB in September/October this year. Government may release notification in September to conduct polls to these societies. Government already extended their tenure 2 times in the last 10 months.
PACS elections & Reservations:
Total number of PACS in AP: 2,792
Members in each PACS: 9
Reservations: OC General-3, OC Woman -1, BC-1, BC Woman-1, SC-1, SC Woman-1 & ST-1
DCCB Elections & Reservations:
Total number of DCCBs: 22
Total members in each DCCB: 11
Elected members in each DCCB: 9 (OC-2, OC Women-2, BC General-2, BC Woman-1, SC General-1 & ST General-1)
Government nominees: 2
According to RBI rules, there should be at least 3 experts in the managing committee of a DCCB.

Apex Cooperatives (Federations):
AP State Cooperative Bank (APCOB)
AP Marketing Cooperative Federation (APMARKFED)
District Cooperative Central Banks and their branches (DCCBs)
Primary Cooperatives:
Primary Agriculture Credit Cooperative Societies (PACs)
Farmers Service Coop Societies (FSCS)
Rural Banks (RBs) & Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs)
- A Cooperative Society is an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet common economic, social and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly owned and democratically controlled enterprises
So, members in PACS will be reduced to 9 from 13 and in DCCB will be reduced to 11 from 16. For the first time, BC and OC women are getting reservation in PACS and DCCBs.
