Siddipet Assembly representatives always played vital role in state politics. Famous leaders like Madanmohan (Congress) and K. In the survey conducted by Andhra Jyothy daily in 2008, Harish Rao came second in the “Best MLA poll” just behind K. Suresh Reddy (Balkonda). He got second highest margin of victory in the 2009 Assembly elections.
