Nizamabad Urban assembly segment is attracting a lot of attention as PCC president, D. Srinivas is contesting from here. Srinivas lost in 2009 polls because of bad religious remarks. This time, he is fighting against Telangana sentiment. He picked “Nizamabad development” slogan to neutralise sentiment factor. BJP is contesting only in Nizamabad Urban and is using all its resources here. TDP helped BJP by fielding a Muslim candidate. But, TRS cadre is working hard to defeat PCC president.
