Warangal is the political capital of Telangana movement. Warangal was the capital city of Kakateeya kings. Warangal West is a newly formed constituency after de-limitation in 2009. They always played vital role in any political/social movement. Kakateeya University students played vital role in leading many movements.

 

 

Highlight: Despite strong Telangana wave, TRS won only in Warangal west segment in Warangal district in the 2009 Assembly elections.
