MPTC, ZPTC elections in July 2nd week

2011 AP MPTC, ZPTC elections

  AP State Election Commission is planning to conduct ZPTC and MPTC elections in July 2nd week. EC will release election notification in 3-4 days. Elections will not be held according to Supreme Court order. EC decided to conduct direct polls for MPTC and ZPTCs and indirect polls to elect ZP Chairpersons. State Election Commission will conduct these polls in 2 phases. High Court decided not to interfere with election process at this stage and dismissed the petition filed by AP State Sarpanch Union President.    According to Supreme Court order, political reservations should not cross 50% mark but State Government allotted 60.55% seats to BC, SC and STs - 34% to BCs, 18.5% to SCs and 8% to STs.  Political analysts are expecting clean sweep for TRS in many Telangana districts (except Hyderabad) while Seemandhra region will see triangular contests among Congress, TDP and YSR Congress.  Click here to know about 2011 AP MPTC Elections.  Click here to know about 2011 AP ZPTC Elections.  Notification: Around July 17-19  Polling: around July 12-15   … [Read more...]

  Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to conduct elections to Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS), District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCB) and APCOB in September/October this year. Government may release notification in September to conduct polls to these societies.
