Warangal Corporation

 

 

Warangal municipality was formed in 1934 and was upgraded to municipal corporation in 1994. City derived its name from Orugallu and it was the capital city of Kakatiya kings. Warangal is the second largest city in Telangana after Hyderabad and is famous for political and social movements. Scheduled Castes are large in number but rarely get political representation in the city.
