Salur Municipality

 

 

Salur is a grade 2 municipaity in Vizianagaram district and is the birthplace of musician Saluri Rajeswar Rao. Town is located on the banks of Vegavathi river and was upgraded to municipality in 1950. Salur town is famous for Jasmine flowers.

 

 

As in Vizianagaram, Telugu Desam and Congress are neck and neck in Salur town. Praja Rajyam party has no presence in the town.
