Tirupati is the most famous Hindu spiritual shrine in Andhra Pradesh. Tirumala and Sri Kalahasti temples are located in this parliament segment. 3 assembly segments are from Chittoor district while 4 assembly segments are from Nellore district.
Tirupati constituency is reserved for Scheduled castes and 50% of voters are from urban areas. Chintha Mohan of Congress party has good track record and he is a master tactician. His campaigning and electioneering are totally different from what we normally see during elections.
