All India Majlis-E-lttehad Muluslimeen (AIMIM) is a recognised political party in Andhra Pradesh. MIM has strong following among Muslim voters in Hyderabad. No party may win elections as easily as MIM wins in its bastions of old town in Hyderabad. De-limitation exercise in 2008 further helped MIM to strengthen its base due to increase in Muslim dominant constituencies. Amanullah Khan’s MBT (Majlis Bachao Tehreek) failed to show significant impact on Muslim voters. MIM has been retaining Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency for the last 25 years (since 1984). MIM failed to develop Old city while other parties succeeded in the development of new city. MIM also has significant vote bank in select areas of Telangana where Muslims are significant in number.
Surprise: MIM failed to make significant impact in areas like Guntur, Vijayawada, Kadapa, Kurnool & Hindupur cities where Muslims are dominant vote banks.
Salahuddin Owaisi: This educated lawyer and a shrewd strategist helped MIM in regaining lost glory which reached new low during “Razakar days”. He won from Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency in 1984 and party never looked back since then. Owaisi family has stronghold over MIM politics just like Gandhis have on Congress party.

If MIM want to increase the Assembly Seats ,Asad bhai must support for Telangana,there are more percentage of muslim population when compare to Andhra-Seema.
If MIM don’t support Telengana,Once Telengana was formed then your (MIM)party will be isolated.
