Telugu Desam party (TDP) is a regional party in Andhra Pradesh and was founded by Telugu cinema hero N.T. Rama Rao and created sensation by coming to power in Andhra Pradesh in just 9 months. TDP became second largest party in Parliament in just 2 years after its formation. But, party is now struggling under the leadership of Nara Chandrababu Naidu as he failed to either inspire exisiting cadre or attract new people. His failure to take concrete decisions on many topics or issues resulted in the erosion of party base in many traditional strongholds.
But, TDP has strong cadre across all regions of Andhra Pradesh and any good leader can bringback those glorious days if he once again sticks to NTR’s ethics and values.

In 2009 Lok Sabha elections, TDP secured 1,04,81,659 (25%) votes. In 2009 Assembly elections, TDP secured 1,18,26,457 (28%) votes.
Glorious moments in TDP history:
1. Swept in 1983, 1985 & 1994 Assembly elections.
2. Massive victories in 1984 Lok Sabha elections which were held after Indira Gandhi’s death. No Indira Gandhi sentiment wave in AP. TDP became the second largest party in the Parliament at that time.
3. Regaining Chief Minister post in 1984 after “Governor Ramlal – Nadendla Bhaskar Rao incident” due to people movement across Andhra Pradesh.
Worst moments in party history:
1. Dethroning party founder N.T. Ramarao from Chief Minister post in 1995.
2. Worst performance in 2004 elections – Party lost many strongholds in those elections for the first time.
3. Failure to win in 2009 elections and failure to act as major opposition from 2004-2010.

just think why he is not moving NO CONFIDENCE MOTION IN ASSEMBLY because he has no confidence that TDP will win in the upcoming elections,that is the reason he is not promoting the motion.if TDP loses in the next election there will be no TDP in our state.

if Chandra babu naidu want to became CM he has to work hard for that he has not done like that he killed NTR and became CM.
he has done firing in basheer bagh junction in the year 2000 against farmers and 7 people were spot dead.
when NTR came to HOTEL VICESROY,HYD on CHAITANYA RADAM and some of the MLA,s has thrown the Chappals into NTR face.that is the shameless incident happened in Andra Pradesh Poloitics.
because of him NTR has faced lot of disturbances in his life.otherwise he will be still alive and later on he will become Prime Minister of India.
